Futures Trading Platform

There are a number of different futures trading platforms that the day trader can use for online trading. Some offer online brokerage services where the day trader can seamlessly integrate charts and order entry screens. Trading commissions are many times waived if a minimum number of traders are executed during a monthly period.

An excellent charting and analysis platform with the ability to access all types of markets would be ideal. Charting should allow the day trader to create any custom time intervals, including tick intervals, for maximum testing and tweaking. The ability to set up custom trade alerts is also a great plus. Look for a trading platform with the a large historical database to back-test your trading indicators and trading ideas. Platforms with simulated accounts to paper trade is an added bonus, especially for the novice.
